3 new originals have landed in the gallery! 🌊

Ian H Watkins' art explores the beauty of the Welsh landscape where he grew up, with each piece embedding memories, emotions and a sense of belonging.

'Forever And Ever' depicts a vibrant blue coastal landscape below an atmospheric sky, with the delicate shoreline immediately drawing the eye.

'Experienced' captures an open Welsh landscape, beneath a soft, glowing sky. The gentle waters below reflect the glimmering light above, bringing about a sense of stillness and serenity.

'The Gift' represents a more dramatic scene, with a muted palette of greens, yellows, blues and browns. The billowing clouds drift over an expansive coastal landscape, creating an atmospheric sense of movement.

We have some wonderful news to share! 💍

Our lovely Beth recently got engaged to her fiancé, George! We’d love to send a huge congratulations to them both. To mark the occasion, Beth’s family even made them a celebratory 'Engagement Trifle' when they returned home.

Wishing Beth and George all the best from the whole team! (And that trifle looked amazing!) 🥂

Introducing 'Marigold' ✨

We've recently had some new Todd White pieces arrive at the gallery, perfect for those looking for bold, figurative artwork that always encourages a second look.

Set against a subtle grey backdrop, 'Marigold' features a horse and rider adorned in intricate Day of the Dead-inspired markings. The piece plays with striking contrast: rich fiery reds, earthy tones, and golden yellows stand out against deep blacks and cool greys.

Which detail draws your eye first? Visit us at The Rose Gallery to find out, or explore the rest of our collection online.

Throwback Thursday to meeting "H" from Steps! ⭐️

You might remember us meeting Ian last year, and we are delighted to be welcoming his works to the gallery! Ian's beautiful landscape artwork reflects a deep connection with the scenery of Wales where he grew up.

Ian works mostly in acrylics, using layers of pastel, charcoal and gold leaf to build wonderfully textured, stand out pieces. Each piece explores both the beauty of the landscape, as well as the memories and nostalgia attached to them.

Three of Ian's original pieces will soon be arriving at The Rose Gallery. In the meantime, please head over to our website to explore the collection!
