Happy from Nottingham Castle! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🎉

We're so proud to be hosting this wonderful exhibition, curated by author and broadcaster Damian Barr, highlighting visionary Scottish artists Robert MacBryde & Robert Colquhoun.

First launching at the Charleston in Lewes, this is the first major exhibition in England celebrating the lives and works of the artists since 1962, and includes some never before seen works! Homosexuality was only partially decriminalised in England in 1967, and in Scotland in 1981 - this show is a rare celebration of their relationship, discussing their identities freely, and bringing to light their extraordinary lives together over nearly 30 years.

💡 Complimenting the exhibition is Robert Montgomery's visual light poetry installation: 'The People You Love Become Ghosts Inside Of You."
