⛏️ In this talk, Derek Hall and Catherine Smith explore Perth’s past through 50 years of archaeological discoveries. Drawing on key excavations, including Meal Vennel and Perth High Street, they reveal everyday life in medieval Perth, alongside more recent findings from Skinnergate Vennel, uncovering the stories of those who once lived and worked there.

These glass models were made by Dresden-based glass artists, Leopold & Rudolf Blaschka. In the 1870s, they sold a range of about six hundred models of sea creatures. Later, they switched production to making glass plant models for museums, zoos & aquaria.

🪕 🎶 During the Second World War, hundreds of Italian and German Prisoners of War were incarcerated in camps across Perth and Kinross. This c.1943 lute was created by an Italian PoW called 'Letro' whilst incarcerated at Balhary Camp 63 near Alyth.

This new role will be supported by the Chief Executive and an experienced senior fundraising consultant, providing a strong platform for success. It offers an exciting opportunity for someone with cultural fundraising experience who is keen to shape and develop a growing programme, working with the full support of the senior leadership team and Board.
