Company Description
Ferndale Community Tenants Group CIC is a community-driven organization. FCTG is a not for profit organization that is very forward thinking. We have since 2019 concentrated on our Community Radio Station as the Community Hub is a small building that has restricted us over the years. With the radio station, FCR Radio. Plymouth we have been able to support people with their Wellbeing during the Covid lockdown. This has now expanded year by year to the radio station being live on the air 24 /7 world-wide via the Internet, App's & Smart Speakers. We now have access to 40 volunteer presenters. We are looking to a very bright future as long as we can get the FCTG CIC right, to make the business self sustainable. All surplus monies raised after running cost by the FCTG CIC would be made available for other organizations to help with their future projects for communities. The organization is committed to being inclusive, transparent, and responsive to the needs of its members.
Role Description
We are looking to appoint new directors to Ferndale Community Tenants Group CIC, this is not the Radio station directly. but it is the committee that oversees the radio station. At the FCTG CIC end of year meeting we will be putting a description together for specific responsibilities for each director position we will be looking to fill, two positions I know will definitely be Companies Secretary the other being Marketing Director. If you think that you could fill either of these posts. or you know someone who would be interested in this volunteer position. Please wait until after the meeting on the 6th April 2026. Qualifications
Experience in leadership, team management, and volunteer coordination
Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
Strategic planning and resource management expertise
Ability to build partnerships and engage effectively with community stakeholders
Background in non-profit management is an advantage
Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and advocating for social justice
