Currently there is no need to book your visit here at the centre and we will continue to try and retain our entry on the door policy. Please be patient on entry during busy times. We thank you for your help and compliance in making this work. Please note that last entries are at 1430. The Centre is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible to the upper levels. We are an original wartime building a

nd as such it does not contain the infrastructure for lifts and ramps at the present time. We ask you not to eat or drink inside the museum except in the old tea room upstairs. This is a dog friendly attraction and we welcome them free of charge, however there is lots of loud noise from our sound effects that may not be suitable for all. We also have water avaliable for them at all times but do ask that visitors clean up any mess their dog makes as a matter of hygiene and curtesy to others.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of welcoming Henry Montgomery, grandson of Field Marshal Bernard “Monty” Montgomery and President of The Spirit of Normandy Trust.

We were honoured to feature in Henry’s 'In Monty’s Footsteps' podcast, in which Henry retraces his grandfather’s wartime journey across Britain visiting troops, training exercises, and factories.

Henry is exploring how his grandfather's efforts helped raise morale among both servicemen and the wider public during a pivotal moment in history.
