Persephone the Painswick Python has returned from hibernation just in time for the Summer Art Walks, which begin this evening and continue on the last Thursday of June and July!
Persephone can be found lounging in the sunshine outside our shop on Bisley Street… and she has ambitions!! This summer she would like to grow even longer…so if you would like to help her… please paint a rock and add it to her snakey self.

We would like to welcome Standish Woollens and yarns to Handmade in Painswick. It feels very fitting to have wool in our shop given that historically we were once a wool town. We have beautiful Standish Woollen blankets measuring 220cms x 160cms and shawls measuring 220cms x 80cms. All in natural colours. So warm. We also have skeins of yarn by Beatrice Bayliss in all natural brown and cream. DK 100g and 50g. She also makes gorgeous knit your own kits which make a wonderful gift. Visit us in Painswick and feel the quality. Buy things that last a lifetime, support local where you know your hard earned money is well spent on items full of heart ♥️

So excited to be working with Standish Woollens for their fabulous blankets and throws and also for her gorgeous DK yarn made from Cotswold sheep. It’s sunny outside but it’s a cold wind too. Wrapping up in cosy wool feels very appropriate.
