JAZZ STROUD starts today! Stroud is the best place to experience the best that's happening right now in the Jazz Scene!
Also, we are very happy to be supported by the new owners of The Amberley Inn, who are hosting our Jazz Stroud artists this weekend. Definitely recommend them for a great place to eat, drink and stay over up on the beautiful common looking over Stroud.

Stroud sits in the folds of five valleys on the edge of the Cotswolds. A town of steep streets, old mills and a landscape that opens quickly into fields, woods and long views across the hills. But this ain’t your average Cotswold town. The place carries a long line of dissent and doing things differently. From Chartist gatherings in the valleys to today’s ecological organising, antiracist work and independent culture. Those struggles helped keep the commons open and the footpaths running through the hills.
Jazz arrives here with its own lineage. A music shaped by Black radical creativity, improvisation and collective listening. The same currents that run through dub, soundsystem culture and dance music. Different forms, shared roots. Jazz Stroud stands behind that long tradition, holding space for the music and the worlds it carries.
Come early and soak it in. Wander the Saturday farmers’ market, settle into one of the old pubs, follow the radical walks out of town or drift between record shops, cafés and small venues.
For four days in April those spaces fill with music and life as Jazz Stroud unfolds across the town.
