Participants will delve into Torpoint Fore Street’s rich history, uncover local stories and use creativity, design and storytelling to imagine what the future of the town centre could look like.

Last Thursday our LOVE FORE STREET project got going...

The first session saw young people working with Josh from Tott Branding to explore the fundamentals of design and brand development, while sharing their thoughts and ideas about Fore Street and what it means to the community.

The group then took part in a walking tour to capture and document the high street as it is today, helping to identify its strengths, challenges and opportunities. Together, they began the exciting process of developing creative ideas and a bold new youth-led vision for the future of Torpoint's high street!

Over the summer, participants will work alongside professional creatives, learn new design skills, meet new people and help create ideas that will be showcased in a public exhibition this September.

We are delighted to welcome three new Directors to the TAC board; Kelly Rich, Tony Walsh and Sarah Vanderwolf. Their experience, insight and enthusiasm will strengthen our work as we continue to spark creativity, culture and community in Torpoint.

As we reflect on our first full trading year, we are incredibly proud of what has been achieved. Highlights include supporting the development and adoption of Torpoint's Arts & Culture Strategy, helping establish 61 Fore Street as a new creative space for the town, and contributing to wider cultural development projects, including work with Looe Town Council on arts feasibility planning and being part of the School for Social Entrepreneurs 'Trading for Good' progarme.

Most importantly, we continue to advocate for Torpoint as a great place to live, work and enjoy a vibrant creative life. We look forward to building on this momentum in the year ahead with Kelly, Tony and Sarah!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening evening of ‘InTides’ yesterday. It was wonderful to see so many people sharing in the conversations, connections and reflections inspired by the exhibition.

If you missed the opening, there’s still time to visit. ‘InTides’ by Kathy Wray and Miranda Housden is open today and tomorrow!

We’d love to welcome you in to explore the work and spend some time with the exhibition.
