Lovely visit to our creative twin at 61 Fore Street in Bodmin today, run by Bodmin Creative Studio & Gallery. It’s so good to see vibrant art for sale in the town, alongside the amazing murals delivered through the More to Bodmin vision!

It really shows what creative ambition and thoughtful placemaking can do to inspire pride in place.

Great to experience how the town is shaping and building a creative, placemaking-led approach - bringing local artists and makers to the fore. It’s a brilliant example of how a town can champion its creative community and re-energise its high street, especially through the work of intoBodmin and Bodmin Revival CIC

There’s a real sense of pride, identity and momentum here - and it’s given us plenty of inspiration and energy for what’s possible in Torpoint.

A week on from the 'Budding Arts' exhibition in Torpoint, we’re still reflecting on a brilliant showcase and the energy it brought to the space.

‘Budding Arts’ featured the work of four emerging artists - Molly Evans, Laura Coleman, Kate Boscence and Hannah Goddard - each offering a distinct perspective on themes of nature, growth, and our evolving relationship with the environment. Together, their work created a thoughtful and engaging exhibition that resonated with many who visited.

A huge thank you to Molly, Laura, Kate and Hannah for sharing your work and helping shape such a meaningful show.

As we move forward, we’re excited to open up more opportunities within the space. We’re now welcoming future exhibition bookings, as well as developing a programme of workshops, gallery events and studio use. This is a space that will continue to grow and evolve through the people who use it - shaped by artists, makers, and the wider community who get involved.

If you’re interested in exhibiting, running a workshop, or using the space, we’d love to hear from you.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us tonight for the launch of the Torpoint Arts & Culture Strategy at 61 Fore Street. It was fantastic to see so much support for creativity in our town.

Special thanks to Mayor Julie Martin for her inspiring words and to local musician and educator Andy Painter for highlighting the importance of creative opportunities for young people.

Huge thanks as well to Lizzie Hilton for the work developing this strategy - and finally to our amazing volunteers for all their effort supporting a new community organisation to get started last year.

Together, we can make Torpoint a hub of artistic and cultural energy. Pop by and see the exhibition today Sat 31st and tomorrow Sun 1st between 10am-4pm and grab a copy of the printed strategy Zine.

🎉 Torpoint’s Arts & Culture Strategy 2025-2030 is here!

We’re proud to celebrate the launch of a bold, community-led vision that puts creativity at the heart of Torpoint’s future.

This strategy has been shaped by the voices of residents, artists, young people and community partners. It sets out a clear roadmap to grow participation, support creative opportunities, and strengthen wellbeing through arts and culture across our town.

A huge thank you to Torpoint Town Council for their support, commitment and belief in the power of culture to help Torpoint thrive. And special thanks to Lizzie Hilton (Creative Consultant) for producing the strategy.
