Our Place is Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival's flagship community programme, developed with the communities of East Brighton, Hangleton & Knoll, and Moulsecoomb & Bevendean.

The steering groups in Moulsecoomb & Bevendean and East Brighton are seeking an Artist or Artist Collective in Residence to co-create a community arts project in each of these areas as part of Our Place 2027.

Kate Tume: Death Masks // 30 October // £3 tickets!

As part of Weird Worthing Folk Fringe, The Yard are presenting an intimate pop-up exhibition of Kate Tume's award-winning Death Masks project.

Kate will also be joined in conversation by Richard Manders to explore what it means to make art in the face of death, the folklore surrounding grief, rites of passage and the objects we create and keep to remember, honour and make sense of those we've lost.

The 10 Year celebrations continue with even more exhibitions & events in 2026 🥳

We kicked off the celebrations last week with a fab night of art, conversation, dancing & CAKE 🎂

Huge thanks goes to the marvellous Beemaybaker for feeding us cake, Henry House Hot Pool & Therapy Centre for sponsoring drinks & refreshments and for Worthing Community Chest for it's small grant which enabled us hold workshops, talks & events.

What a perfect way to spend a Saturday morning.

The morning saw lots of wonderful designs and creativity during our make a celebration card kids workshop. Thank you to Nadia Chalk for bringing her skills and running the session as part of our tenth Birthday celebration week.

In March during Creativity Continues, Sarah Sepe won a prize of a weeks exhibition in Gallery Two. Her entries were small, 3D sculptures made of paper, paint and wire which resulted in a new body of work which is still evolving.

Garden Perspectives shows the pieces alongside test pieces, all made with no end in sight, full of exploring, discovering, and testing materials in her studio upstairs.
