'Connected - Connemara'
Art Exhibition by Galway Artists Siobhán Moore and Elaine Cunningham
- Connemara National Park Visitor Centre, Letterfrack, Co. Galway, H91 K2Y1
- January 3rd to 31st 2026
- 9:00am to 5:30pm daily
Siobhán and Elaine are delighted to welcome you to Connected - Connemara, an intimate exhibition celebrating friendship, shared journeys, and creative expression. The title reflects both the artists’ personal bond and their mutual sensitivity to the natural and observed world. Presented in the unique setting of a Connemara National Park Visitor Centre, the exhibition invites visitors to experience the artworks in this beautiful environment — offering an authentic and accessible encounter with contemporary art surrounded by the natural beauty of Connemara.
Having first met while working as medical scientists, Siobhán and Elaine’s friendship evolved alongside their artistic paths. Both pursued a BA in Art at GMIT/ATU, developing distinctive yet complementary voices across oil, acrylic, and encaustic media. Both artists explore abstraction through unique perspectives rooted in observation, nature, and emotion. Elaine’s abstract works reflect her dual perspectives as scientist and artist, exploring the patterns and structures that echo between the microscopic world and the vast landscapes of the West of Ireland — uncovering unexpected harmonies between science and nature. Siobhán’s calm, abstracted sea and landscapes capture the rhythm of the Atlantic horizon and our ancient terrain, evoking emotion, time, and place.
Together, their work celebrates connection — between people, nature, and creative expression — offering a thoughtful and visually captivating experience in one of Ireland’s most beautiful national parks.
