Oliver Murphy was awarded the Irish Arts Review / Ireland U.S Council Portraiture Award 2026 at the 196th RHA Annual Exhibition awards ceremony last Saturday.

Oliver is pictured receiving his award from Marie-Claire de Sachy of the Irish Arts Review and RHA President Sinéad Ní Mhaonaigh.

The 196th RHA Annual Exhibition in association with McCann FitzGerald continues until Sunday 9th August.

This Sunday, join exhibiting artist and guide Mags Harnett for a tour of RESOLVE 26 – a major group exhibition of emerging artists in the RHA School.

This exhibition brings together seventy six works developed through the School’s Resolution modules – an intensive programme designed to support artists in bringing their practice from early-stage research and experimentation through to fully realised exhibition.

The selection has been curated by Colin Martin RHA Head of School and Dorothy Smith ARHA.

Participating artists include:

Drawing Resolution Students: Bernadette Blanchard, Stephanie Cuddy-Cullen, Zoë Dillon, Margie Dunne, Ellie Dunne, Anne Marie Hayes, Niamh H***e, Nathalie Marshall, Irina McAuley, Grainne Mulligan, Inga Ryan, and Merve Sagit.

Painting Resolution Students: J. Enjoy a walk and talk tour of the 196th RHA Annual Exhibition in association with McCann FitzGerald as RHA Interim Director Nathalie Weadick introduces you to some of her favourite works in the exhibition.

Nathalie is a highly respected cultural strategist, advisor, and curator based in Dublin who works across visual art, architecture, design, and spatial culture, with a career focused on creating meaningful, context-rich encounters between creative practitioners and the public.
