The Palais Salé, Paris, France is a veritable treasure trove dedicated to the extraordinary artistic output of Pablo Picasso. This one-of-a-kind museum houses over 3,000 artworks by the artist, including intricate drawings, artistic ceramics, and iconic paintings that trace the evolution of his style and vision.
In addition to Picasso's artworks, the museum is enriched by the artist's personal collection, which includes masterpieces by Cézanne, Degas, Rousseau, Seurat, de Chirico, and Matisse.
Also of interest are ancient Iberian bronzes and a vast collection of primitive art, highlighting the influences that inspired Picasso.
A particularly remarkable aspect of the museum is the rich selection of works created by Picasso after the age of 70, which testify to his inexhaustible creativity and the continuous evolution of his artistic language until the last years of his life.

During the Neoclassical period, 1917 - 1925, Picasso explored an artistic language that reflected a desire for stability and a return to cultural roots after the turbulence of World War I. This stylistic shift was partly spurred by his trip to Italy, where he became fascinated by classical and Renaissance art.
The works of this period feature robust, monumental figures, often influenced by ancient and Pompeian models, yet characterized by an intrinsic modernity.
Despite the apparent return to tradition, Picasso did not entirely abandon his innovative spirit, integrating elements of distortion and enlargement into his works, lending a unique and personal dimension to his creations. This period represents an interesting dialogue between past and present, tradition and avant-garde, demonstrating Picasso's versatility and artistic depth.

Picasso challenged traditional conventions by breaking down objects into geometric shapes, allowing for simultaneous viewing from multiple angles. This new perspective offered a more complex and nuanced representation of reality, beyond mere visual appearance.
