Galleria d'arte moderna e contemporanea The MAAB Gallery was founded in Padua in 2009 by Michael Biasi. In 2013 the gallery moved to the center of Milan.

From the very start, the work of rediscovering important artists on the European historical-artistic panorama, those active from the 1950s and 1960s, was backed by an interest in the constant evolutions of contemporary international art language. Particular care is given to technical considerations: each show is backed by a catalogue that tells, through images, documents and the words of an art cr

itic, the art language of the artist. The MAAB Gallery administers the Archivio Alberto Biasi. MAAB Gallery is a member of the Italian National Association of Modern and Contemporary Art Galleries (ANGAMC).

It’s the last week to visit Enough of Me, the solo exhibition by Susanne Kutter at the MAAB gallery in Milano! ✨

Among the works on display is “Enough of Me (Lady Diana)”, a neon text piece in which precise, hypnotic lines present language both as a luminous sign and as a technical process, shaped by the physical presence of gas and its chemical transformation. Alongside it, as in the work “I’m Not Doing Anything Much Except Just Existing (Marilyn Monroe)”, language takes the form of text embroidered onto a tablecloth. Whether carried out by hand or by machine, the intervention disrupts the object’s regular domestic fabric, unsettling and transforming it, and entrusting it with a new message to convey. In this dialogue between technique and the handmade, between light and organic materials, the artistic gesture becomes a site where control and loss of control confront one another. 🧵✨

We are excited to share that The Cool Couple () are participating in the Malta Biennale 2026 with the thematic pavilion So Good to Feel Real, curated by Francesca Guerisoli and presented by Fondazione OELLE Mediterraneo Antico ETS.

Installed at the historic Antica Armeria dei Cavalieri in Birgu, the multimedia installation explores how digital cultures transform violence into spectacle, entertainment, and consumable imagery.

Through sculptural works inspired by video game aesthetics, an immersive laser environment, and a speculative audio monologue, the project questions our growing desensitization to real conflict in an age of hyper-mediated images.

For her third solo exhibition at the gallery, Kutter present the site-specific installation Like a soft blanket over my eyes. Variation III (2026), in which different materials such as powered sugar, plastic, and light coexist in a subtle tension between apparent stability and precarity.

Is Ti penso sempre a declaration of passion — or the echo of an obsessive unease?
Kutter deliberately leaves us in a state of uncertainty. She unsettles the order of things, exposes vulnerability, and invites us to question how reality is constructed and perceived. In doing so, the work quietly disrupts us — and awakens us.

The exhibition, organized on the occasion of the XXV Giochi Olimpici Invernali di Milano Cortina 2026, celebrates the enduring and magnetic force Italy has exercised for centuries on the global imagination 🇮🇹
