Discover “Dreamcatcher Full Color” by Venetian artist Annalù.

Created with Murano glass, resin, paper, and inks, the artwork unfolds in an airy circular form that evokes ancient mandalas, cosmic vortices, and suspended blossoms. Butterfly wings compose an impossible mosaic, illuminated by vibrant colors and dreamlike beauty. A symbol of transformation, they evoke a continuous process of metamorphosis and renewal.

On the occasion of the opening of SHADES at Galleria Ravagnan, artist Giorgio Tentolini joins curator Alberto Mattia Martini for a rare and intimate conversation.

Discover the vision behind Giorgio Tentolini’s layered works — where light, shadow, metal mesh and tulle transform images into suspended apparitions between presence and absence.

From reinterpretations of classical sculpture to AI-generated faces, SHADES explores memory, perception, and the fragile boundary between the visible and the invisible.

More than portraits, these works become shifting presences: images that emerge slowly through light, distance, and time.

In Caorle, the celebrated Travelers by Bruno Catalano engage in a dialogue with the sea and the history of the city. Their fragmented figures, marked by impossible voids and suitcases tightly held in their hands, seem to belong naturally to this seaside place, where for centuries travel has been part of the landscape’s very identity.

Between the salty Adriatic breeze and the millenary history of this town, Bruno Catalano’s sculptures speak of the profound meaning of departure: what we leave behind, what we carry with us, and what the sea gives back over time.

Once an ancient fishing village tied to the Republic of Venice, Caorle built its history upon the water. Its maritime traditions, harbor, and the slow rhythm of life by the sea still preserve the authentic soul of a town that has always lived between departures and returns.

It is precisely this suspended dimension between journey and belonging that makes the encounter with the Travelers so evocative: contemporary works that seem born to inhabit this timeless place, where the sea has never been a boundary, but a promise of discovery.

SHADES, Giorgio Tentolini’s solo exhibition at Galleria Ravagnan in Dorsoduro, remains on view this week through May 17.

Conceived as a layered perceptual experience, the exhibition unfolds along a fluid path that alternates large-scale works with more intimate pieces, inviting viewers to move through the space, approach and step back from the images, and continuously reactivate the process of vision.

Through delicate tonalities, subtle variations, and soft transitions, SHADES proposes a slow and attentive visual experience, in which each image gradually reveals itself as an unstable balance between light and shadow.
