When the comfort zone becomes a cage. As a curator, I see this often. Many equine artists reach a point where their work is established and successful, yet no longer feels as alive or exciting as it once did.

That discomfort is often not a problem. It is a sign of growth.

Applications are now open for the fourth edition of the Dutch Equine Art Fair at the Living Horse Museum in Amsterdam.

The exhibition brings together contemporary equine artists from around the world across disciplines including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, illustration, textile art, mixed media, installation, and digital art.

Last weekend, artists across the Netherlands opened their studio doors to the public for Open Atelier Weekend.

I visited Cath Driessen, the first artist connection I made when I started out as a curator ten years ago.

Lovely to see her again and spend time in her beautiful studio surrounded by her work.
