The Grace Museum Building multifaceted connections through new experiences in American fine art and history
(523)

The Grace Museum houses a robust permanent art collection, eight gallery spaces featuring world-class exhibitions, an Abilene history collection, and an interactive children's museum. The building was originally constructed in 1909 as the Hotel Grace, and the museum first opened at Abilene's Rose Park in the 1930s as the Abilene Fine Arts Museum, before moving downtown and changing its name in 199

2. Today, the 55,000 square foot building is the tenth largest general museum in Texas, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In the heart of Abilene's beautifully restored downtown Cultural District, The Grace is a hub for arts and education in the region.
