Our staff pick this month comes from Charlie in Information! They recommend Chasing the Thrill by Daniel Barbarisi. They say: "This book was made for those of us who grew up dreaming of finding buried treasure, solving the Sphinx's riddle, or locating the Holy Grail. Part history and part personal account, this is a fascinating overview of the Forrest Fenn treasure hunt - a real hunt organized in 2010 by the eccentric millionaire art collector Forrest Fenn, where he hid a chest of jewels, gold, and valuable artifacts somewhere in the wilderness of the United States and published a cryptic poem that served as a map leading to the treasure's secret location. I had such a great time reading this book and found it to be a perfect balance between the personal accounts of some such treasure hunters, a history of quests for buried treasure, and a wider exploration of what we as humans will do to solve the greatest of mysteries. I cannot recommend it highly enough!"
