Who’s on the stoop?
This is Bill, Brooklyn artist who goes by his street name CON$UMR, known far & wide for his Pop and Street Art inspired work.
We have a collection of his prints from the series “Fun with Feelings” available.
He says: “I wanted to explore the language around feelings, to put them into perspective. They don’t need to be overwhelming, at least in my life. Hopefully you can laugh at yourself too.”

A warm welcome and a wonderful studio visit with Brazilian artists Talita Zaragoza & Leandro Viana, currently living and working in Delhi, NY.
Their home on a leafy street surrounded by woodland is only a short walk from Main Street yet feels like a world away. It is here they have each been working on new bodies of work and we are delighted to announce both will be exhibiting at Hawk + Hive next year in separate shows.

A lovely piece on Gianni Notarianni’s show by Lorcan Otway - longtime East Village resident, former Village Voice contributor, photojournalist and the former owner and producer of the legendary Theatre 80 St. Marks.

Lorcan spent time with the exhibition before sitting down with Gianni for a wide-ranging conversation about painting, light, contemplation, his twenty years in the Augustinian order — and an unexpected connection to Pope Leo XIV.

“His paintings are a conversation and I am sure those who come to see his work will find rich conversations with and in his work.”

Lily Pads Among Reflected Reeds

In Lilypads Among Reflected Reeds, the movement is horizontal and floating: pads scattered across a pale chartreuse ground like notes on a stave, suspended above a thicket of dark, wiry reflections cast by the reeds beyond the frame. The lines crisscross, double back and descend through the water, making the surface feel at once shallow and immeasurable. A few pads carry a starburst of coral pink at their centre, and those small hot accents do a surprising amount of work. Against so much cool green, they become the one place your eye is allowed to land.
