June 3, 1899 – Falling Worms
"The tent caterpillars have carried Federal Hill. At W.H. McKee's the leaves cut from the trees are an inch and a half thick in the road, and wagons passing are so covered with falling worms as to necessitate brushing off before proceeding."

June 2, 1926 - Performing Bear Escapes Theater
"One of a troupe of six performing bears escaped from the Delhi theater last week and being chased, sought refuge in a house near the theater. The animal crashed through a screen door and landed in the middle of the kitchen floor, nearly scaring the wits out of the owner. A door was held so that the animal was imprisoned in the kitchen until someone called for it. The show troupe was requested to pack up and move out of the town."

June 2, 1888 – Scotchmen Wash Persons in Delhi Reservoir
"A couple of young Scotchmen who inadvertently washed their persons in the Water Works reservoir were arrested and fined for polluting the sources of the water supply of the village."

''The bobbed hair craze is spreading. A group of local matrons motored to Oneonta Tuesday and had their locks shorn. It is reported that one lady looks ten years younger."
