Are you passionate about local history and the unique charm of Berlin, Maryland? The Calvin B. Taylor House Museum is seeking enthusiastic, community-minded volunteers to join our team as Site Interpreters.
In this role, you will serve as the face of the museum, bringing the history of our town and the families who lived at the Taylor House to life for visitors from near and far.
The Role
· Lead Guided Tours: Walk visitors through our beautifully preserved 1832 Federal-style house, sharing stories of its notable residents, architecture, furnishings, and historical significance.
· Share Local History: Provide context on Berlin’s rich heritage and its evolution over the centuries.
· Engage the Community: Act as an ambassador for the museum during special events and regular visiting hours.
What We’re Looking For
· A friendly, outgoing personality with a love for public speaking.
· A genuine interest in Delmarva history and historic preservation.
· Reliability and a willingness to commit to at least two shifts per month (flexible scheduling available).
· No prior museum experience is necessary—we provide all the historical training and materials you need!
