Western Heritage Center

Western Heritage Center The Western Heritage Center is a regional museum whose collections, exhibits, and programs share the story of the Yellowstone River Valley.

The Western Heritage Center, in order to promote an appreciation of history and culture, tells the stories of the Northern High Plains centered on the Yellowstone River Valley. We do this by implementing comprehensive arts and humanities projects, programs and exhibits based on broad regional interest and need.

We’re excited to welcome Rylie Kaiser, an artist diagnosed with leukemia at the age of three and a bone marrow transplant at five. Her artwork became both an outlet and a source of healing.

Light refreshments will be served.

We had so much talent submitted for the Montana Memory Portal and Western Heritage Center’s 2026 LEGO Competition. Thank you to everyone who submitted entries, as well as to our judges — Allyne, Trevor, and Brad — whose enthusiasm made the event even more special. Each piece showcased incredible detail and creativity. We can’t wait to celebrate Preservation Month again next May in 2027!
