The members of the Iron Island Preservation Society are a patriotic group. So when Mr. Amigone donated his beautiful building to us, the first thing we hung on the wall was a large American Flag in the middle room. That room became our Military Room which now holds uniforms from all eras. We have many other artifacts each holding a special memory which we talk about on our tours. We have honored our veterans by placing dedicated flags on the light standards along Lovejoy Street. We also dedicated Hennepin Park to Veterans of all Wars and planted several donated trees in their honor. When you visit our beautiful museum, you will hear stories of the cremains which were left in the basement, 8 of which were veterans, and how Linda, our president made arrangements for a proper burial in Bath National Cemetery. In our 25th year of opening our museum, we encouage our Iron Island neighbors, and everyone to display their American Flags ane never forget to honor all our heros.GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Are you considering booking an overnight stay at the Iron Island museum? If so, we would like to introduce you to your future overnight guide. Meet Lisa Blount. She has been a valued member of our team for a number of years and is highly sought after by our return visitors. We thought you might like to learn a little about her. We have asked her some questions, and these are her thoughts.

How long have you been in the paranormal field?
- "Over 10 years"

What draws you to Iron Island Museum?
- "The great activity. The first time I was here the activity was off the charts, that's when I met the ghost cat. I saw it coming from the gathering room into the dining room."

Most creepiest experience?
- "It was in the chapel room. We all had five pieces of our equipment going off at the same time."

Why would you recommend Iron Island Museum?

- "Well, we do have all the amenities. It's a very comfortable place to investigate. It's the activity, also the family atmosphere. Nothing here is going to harm you."

What is your favorite piece of equipment?
- " The SLS camera. You can see the spirit even in stick form. It's incredible, you can even interact with them while you are watching on the screen."

Any other thoughts?
" The spirits and I have a mutual understanding. I am here to make sure people respect them, no provocation is allowed. There's a lot of respect involved."
