Martha Jackson in Paris, Bits by Bits, the First-Year MFA Exhibition, and Robert Creeley: Active Complement sparked conversation, welcomed class visits, and offered students a place to slow down and recharge. This spring, our program series Echo[es] grew into its own exhibition — one of our favorite surprises of the year.⁠

We welcomed nearly 5,000 visitors over the course of the school year, and we loved every single one. 💙⁠

The gallery reopens in Fall 2026 with a whole new slate of exhibitions. Stay tuned — there's a lot to look forward to! Meanwhile, stop by UB Anderson Gallery, where we're open for most of the summer.

Mark your calendars. 🗓️ Anderson Inside Out is coming—Saturday, July 11, 1–6 PM at UB Anderson Gallery.

Join us for a free, all-ages afternoon of live music, food, art-making, guided tours, local artists, and neighborhood organizations—inside the gallery and out. Timed to coincide with the University Heights Samuel P. Capen Garden Walk, it's the perfect way to spend a summer Saturday in the neighborhood.

Clayton Pond's paintings are full of the stuff of everyday life — rendered with so much color and care that a humble kitchen chair becomes something worth stopping for. But these chairs aren't for sitting. Clayton Pond: A Retrospective is on view now at UB Anderson Gallery, and we have plenty of benches if you need a rest. Come see for yourself! 😄

Join us for a closing gathering for Echo[es]: Traces in a Grid, a season-long collaborative installation developed through lectures, workshops, and a participatory postal exchange led by poet and artist Diego Espíritu.

Come view the completed installation—assembled from works by workshop participants and contributors from around the globe—and celebrate the exchange of ideas, images, and echoes that brought it to life. All are welcome, including participating artists and the public.

We're so excited to welcome Alexandra J. Gold to UB Art Galleries for a gallery talk on Robert Creeley's life as a collaborator. ⁠

Gold is a scholar of postwar American poetry and visual art and the author of The Collaborative Artist's Book: Evolving Ideas in Poetry and Art — and her work on Creeley makes her the perfect guide through Robert Creeley: Active Complement.⁠

The talk, Creeley and the Art of Collaboration, takes a closer look at Creeley's prolific career as a creative partner — including his 1968 collaboration with artist Robert Indiana, Numbers. The 45-minute talk and Q&A will be followed by time to explore the exhibition.⁠

Is it fate? On April 10th, we opened CLAYTON POND: A RETROSPECTIVE, and the show includes INTIMIDATOR, a 13-foot-tall sculpture of goalie . Is it lucky? Time will tell, but it wouldn’t hurt to come by and see it for yourself.
