The Emlen Physick Estate is a landmark Victorian home that's been tranformed to a Victorian House Museum, located in Cape May, New Jersey. The estate is lovingly maintained and interpreted by Cape May MAC (Museums + Arts + Culture), a non-profit organization that celebrates the area's rich history. Designed by renowned American architect Frank Furness and built in 1879, the estate and its original

outbuildings show how life was lived in the Victorian era. The carriage house on the grounds is now a museum shop, exhibit gallery and home to the Carriage House Cafe and Tearoom.

✏️Bring a bag lunch and learn during these informative talks on popular topics of history, culture, science and the arts. Lunch & Learn programs are offered both LIVE at the Cape May Lutheran Church Hall, 509 Pittsburgh Ave., Cape May, and by ZOOM. You may bring your lunch and beverage but no food or drink is provided. The hall is accessible and free parking is available. No registration is needed if you plan to attend in person.

The Philadelphia Physicks: Origins of the Emlen Physick Estate in Cape May. Dr. Emlen Physick used his inheritance to commission architect Frank Furness to design and build the Physick Estate in Cape May and live there with his family. But what about where he came from? Who were his parents? Dr. Physick came from an illustrious family with deep historical roots in the Delaware Valley. Pam Covey, Lead Docent at the Hill-Physick House in Philadelphia, will talk about the family, their accomplishments, and their scandals.
