We are delighted to introduce Katherine Palmer as the next Executive Director of the Museum of Making Music. Katherine brings a deep belief in music's ability to inspire curiosity and foster connection, values that are central to our mission.

As we welcome Katherine, we also celebrate the remarkable legacy of Carolyn Grant, whose vision and dedication helped establish the Museum as a beloved destination. Thanks to Carolyn's stewardship over the past 28 years, Katherine will have a strong foundation upon which to build the next chapter.

This month, we're installing a new exhibition that reexamines the role of instruments, especially the way they transcend their original purpose of making music.
