Join us for NCSML's Summer Camp 2026!

America 250: Celebrating Czech and Slovak Footprints Across the United States

Did you know that the last person to walk on the Moon was of Czech and Slovak heritage? Did you know that sugar cubes were invented by a Czech or that the first functional prototype of parachute was patented by a Slovak? Come and learn about notable people with Czech and Slovak roots; inventions, art and music! Build a little parachute, learn about our Buresh Immigration Clock Tower and make your own sundial, create your own Andy Warhol inspired pop art and more! The goal of this camp is to teach children in a fun and creative way using STEAM elements.

This camp’s recommended age group is students entering 2nd – 5th grade in the fall of 2026.

The camp will be hosted at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library, July 20-23 (Monday through Thursday) from noon to 4 p.m.

We are OPEN Memorial Day! NCSML is a Blue Star Museum and offers free admission to active-duty military personnel, including the National Guard and Reserves, and their families through Labor Day. Veterans may enjoy discounted admission all year long.
