Popular LiberianโAmerican humanitarian Saya Doe Sio, founder of the Annie T. Doe Memorial Foundation based in Lower Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, has stepped forward to change the life of a young girl named Hannah, offering her full, longโterm scholarship support after learning she could not afford to go to school.
Moved by Hannahโs difficult story, Madam Sio has committed to cover all education costs from elementary through Grade 12, including tuition fees, school uniforms, books, and all necessary learning supplies. Hannah will be enrolled at ATDOE Academy, starting in the coming academic year.
In her announcement, Madam Sio noted that she has directed the schoolโs principal, Francis D. Johnson, to locate the child and complete arrangements immediately.
Her foundationโs mission is to ensure that vulnerable children are not denied education simply because of poverty.
Citizens and wellโwishers across Grand Bassa and beyond have praised the gesture, describing it as lifeโchanging: โThanks to Mother Saya Doe Sio and her team, Hannah now has a clear path to complete her studies and build a bright future. This is true generosity in action.โ
The Annie T. Doe Memorial Foundation continues to serve as a pillar of hope for children and families in the county, proving that education and kindness remain powerful tools to lift lives and communities.
