Leather Archives & Museum Leather Archives & Museum (LA&M) is a library, museum and archive located on the North Side of Chicago.

Our mission is to make leather, kink, B**M, and fe**sh accessible through research, preservation, education and community engagement. All s*xual orientations and genders are included, and the scope is worldwide! The library houses twelve thousand books and fourteen thousand magazines, plus scholarly publications, films and electronic resources. As for the museum collection, it's full of original e

rotic art and artifacts from alternative s*x organizations and individuals. The archives (viewable by appointment) contain unpublished papers and records from notable B**M activists, artists, businesses and organizations.

What a farewell weekend this was!thank you everyone who came to visit us during our final days. 656 of you showed up to visit our history and say goodbye. The next time you enter this sacred space, you’ll be blown away! Our history is moving into archival storage this week, and the renovation begins. And in May 2027, you’ll get to see our stories in a spectacular space designed just for them. Follow our renovation progress at https://leatherarchives.org/
