La Casa Norte is now officially a CityKey Delegate Agency 🎉 This means we can support community members in need of a government issued IDs.

With a CityKey ID, our clients will have an easier time:
✨Enrolling their kids or themselves in school
✨ Scheduling medical visits
✨Accessing prescriptions discounts - a much needed benefit since many clients have lost Medicaid benefits

We have hosted CityKey events at La Casa Norte in partnership with the Chicago City Clerk's office in the past, but now with this official designation, we are hiring two new full time employees to staff the workshops and print the IDs on site.

We will also be enrolling new businesses as partners to give discounts and host workshops at other organizations, allowing us to expand our reach and meet our community's need.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Chicago Mayor's Office Mayor Brandon Johnson BACP announce the Neighborhood Market Grant Program, which supports food entrepreneurs and food-focused organizations in communities working to increase access to fresh, healthy and affordable food.

Allies for Community Business has been selected to manage the Neighborhood Market Grant Program. The $450,000 grant will provide one-time awards in amounts up to $10,000 to eligible food entrepreneurs and farmers market operators serving in communities with inequitable access to fresh food.
