We are still moved by the incredible turnout and support for the opening reception of “Golden Vision: Zolla/Lieberman Celebrates 50 Years.”

Seeing the gallery filled with artists, collectors, friends, and longtime members of Chicago’s art community made for an unforgettable evening and a meaningful reflection on everything ZLG has represented over the past five decades.

We are proud to announce the opening of "Golden Vision: Zolla/Lieberman Gallery Celebrates 50 Years" on Friday, May 1st. This landmark anniversary exhibition honors our enduring history and the artists who continue to shape it.

For five decades, we have had the privilege of working with extraordinary artists, collectors, curators, and industry professionals who have shaped our journey and sustained our belief in the power of contemporary art. What began as a leap of faith in 1976 has grown into a lasting community built on relationships, trust, and a shared passion for art.

As the first gallery to open in Chicago’s now-historic River North neighborhood, Zolla/Lieberman has presented more than 400 exhibitions across three Huron Street locations. We are grateful to have witnessed and contributed to the growth of Chicago’s vibrant arts community.

Featuring the work of 150 artists, "Golden Vision" celebrates both Zolla/Lieberman’s legacy and our dedication to the future. Join us in honoring this milestone and all who continue to inspire what comes next.

Step into "El Jardin." Look through a window. Turn a corner. Lean in to read what’s on the tree that is splitting itself in two. Long to pick up a densely sculpted flower. Look up at a rainbow undulating across the tufted sky. Stand at the forbidden door. You are the body that this garden is waiting for. You are witness to the missing.
