HILTON CONTEMPORARY PRESENTS: MOTION PICTURES

We are honored to announce a landmark exhibition by the legendary Lawrence Schiller, opening June 5.

Motion Pictures is a dynamic exhibition exploring the intersection of photography and cinematic storytelling. Bringing together a selection of Schiller’s most iconic and rarely seen works, the exhibition highlights his unique ability to capture movement, narrative, and cultural history within a single frame.

“He doesn’t simply document Hollywood. He interprets it, offering images that feel alive with story, atmosphere, and cultural significance.” — Arica Hilton, CEO & Founder

SPECIAL COMMEMORATION
This exhibition opens during the week of what would have been Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday, featuring some of the most intimate and rare photographs ever taken of the star.

🏆 We are thrilled to announce that Carole Feuerman will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Sculpture Center (ISC) on May 1.

For over five decades, Feuerman has redefined figurative sculpture. From her iconic “Superrealism” beginnings to her breathtaking resin and bronze figures, her work captures the intersection of physical precision and psychological depth.

“It is far easier for me to express my emotions through sculpture than through words.” — Carole Feuerman

📍 Coming Soon: Get ready, Chicago. Feuerman’s monumental sculptures are headed to the Magnificent Mile. Stay tuned for details.

David Yarrow is always on the move and his latest releases prove it.

Fresh from Aspen’s unexpected summer warmth: a bohemian series shot on the roads and outside the legendary Woody Creek Tavern (with Jerome Hotel images coming soon). David turned “no snow” into pure creative opportunity.

Joined by the sun-drenched elegance of Palm Beach and the powerful, oil-rich narratives of Texas.

These are the stories collectors are waiting for. Limited editions now available.

Introducing the first original works from Cristina Mittermeier’s powerful new series, Marks of Memory.

These mixed media collages begin with Cristina’s own photographs of women whose quiet strength has outlasted erasure and inequality. Onto those images she layers delicate, hand cut floral forms made from her own lifetime of passports, visas, birth certificates, and legal papers. Documents once meant to control and define, now transformed into symbols of resilience and belonging.

Rooted in Mexican tradition and Latin American magical realism, the pieces feel both intimate and universal: memory made material, beauty offered as both offering and reclamation.

We are honored to be the first gallery in Chicago to present these originals. Visit us in person where they are even more moving up close.

Odyssey: A look behind the surface. A single work like this isn’t just “taken”—it’s built. Drawing from his years in fashion, Jonas meticulously constructs every layer, often working 18-hour days to balance the raw with the refined. It’s about scratching past the polished exterior to find something deeper.

CHICAGO - Hilton Contemporary is pleased to present The Art of Becoming, an exhibition by Belgian artist Jonas LeRiche, opening Friday, March 27, 2026 at Hilton Contemporary’s River North location. This marks the artist’s debut exhibition in Chicago.

Born in Belgium, Jonas LeRiche spent a decade working as a fashion photographer before moving to New York to focus exclusively on his artistic practice. His background in fashion photography shaped his technical approach to image-making while prompting a deeper exploration of themes surrounding image culture, identity, and perception.

"What matters to me is the transformation of emotions and intentional or subconscious ideas into gripping images. Each piece tells a story and the stories I create go far beyond the individual or anecdotal." - Jonas LeRiche

LeRiche explores the tension between the artificial and the authentic, creating images that invite viewers to question what lies beneath a polished surface. His work introduces raw, natural elements into meticulously constructed scenes, challenging audiences accustomed to the seductive veneer of contemporary image culture.

LeRiche’s photographs are meticulously constructed, often assembled layer by layer through elaborate staging and direction. A single photoshoot may take a week to complete, reflecting the artist’s highly controlled approach to image-making.

LeRiche’s newest body of sculptural work, Vanity Skulls, expands on themes present in his photography while exploring the transience of life, the futility of pleasure, and the certainty of death.

LeRiche’s silkscreen editions reinterpret the “Vanity Skull” motif through printmaking. Incorporating diamond dust, gold and silver leaf, iridescent pigments, and vivid color, these works translate the sculptural form into a luminous two-dimensional format.

Hilton Contemporary’s presentation of The Art of Becoming marks the gallery’s first showcase of Jonas LeRiche’s Signature Series, including photographs, mixed media works, and sculptures. Each photographic image, previously known in contemporary formats, is reinterpreted here in a classical presentation. Produced as archival pigment prints on Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta paper and framed with museum-grade precision, these works emphasize the depth, texture, and tonal richness of the photographic image. The result is a presentation that bridges contemporary vision with the enduring tradition of fine art photography, offering collectors the most refined and timeless expression of the work.

The Art of Becoming will be on view at Hilton Contemporary through June 1, 2026.

We look forward to seeing you!
