Art Etc. is seeking artwork for Visual Music, a group exhibition exploring how visual art can move, pulse, resonate, and flow like sound. We’re looking for work inspired by rhythm, mood, harmony, repetition, atmosphere, or musical influence—whether abstract or representational.
Open to all visual media.

🎉 Opening Reception: March 7, 2026 | 5–7 PM

I am looking for someone (or group) that is interested in free matboard scraps. All the scraps are in perfect condition and 100's of different colors but they are just a little too small for me to hang onto with the limited space I have here and too big to just throwing them in the trash. Sizes range from 5"x7" up to 16"x20". I have them stored in a box so picking them up would be a breeze. Please let me know if you, or someone you know, would be interested. DM me

Call for Artists: Remembering Bidwell Mansion – Art Exhibit & Charity Sale
Exhibition Dates: July 1st, 2025 to August 29th, 2025
Location: Art Etc., Chico, CA
Deadline to Apply: May 15th, 2025 to June 23rd, 2025
Art Etc. invites local and regional artists to participate in the Remembering Bidwell Mansion exhibition, a tribute to the historic Bidwell Mansion in Chico, CA, which was tragically lost to fire. This exhibit will showcase artwork that celebrates the mansion’s architectural beauty and cultural significance. It will be a powerful way for locals to honor the memory of the mansion while supporting the community.
We are seeking submissions in the following mediums:
• Photography
• Painting
• Mixed Media
• Sculpture
Artists are encouraged to explore the themes of history, memory, and legacy, creating works that capture the essence of the Bidwell Mansion, its architectural features, or its historical significance within the Chico community.
How to Apply:
1. Submit Your Work: Email your submission with high-quality images of your artwork and a brief description (no more than 150 words) of how your work relates to the Bidwell Mansion.
2. Submit to: [email protected]
3. Deadline: All submissions must be received by June 23rd, 2025.
Selected Artists:
• All selected artists will be featured in the event, and their works will be available for sale.
• 15% of all art sales will go toward non-profit organization(s) supporting or preserving the memory of the Bidwell Mansion.
• Artists will be notified of their acceptance by June 27th, 2025.
This is an exceptional opportunity to showcase your work while supporting a worthy cause. Let your creativity help us honor the Bidwell Mansion’s legacy!
