Early photo of the 2 story log house known as "Latimer Lodge" located off Betty's Creek just west of Dillard, and lies next to the Hambidge Center property. Lattimer lodge was built as a vacation retreat for the Lattimer family who still own it. The house was built between 1912 and 1920.

The Rabun County High School main classroom building burning March 1975. The fire started in the auditorium. This was on West Savannah Street in Clayton. The gymnasium is now the Civic Center, the old shop building was recently remodeled into apartments, the football field has pavillions for events.

1940 Picture of Watts Grist Mill just outside Clarkesville. In 1969 the mill was sold to a couple who turned this into a pottery shop called "Mark of the Potter" and it is still operated under this name. Romanes Photo. I have read that some people in the town of Burton would take corn here to be ground.
