Artist Thao Nguyen, , is a Cleveland-based illustrator, designer, and visual artist whose work centers on community storytelling, culture, and the outdoors.

Nguyen is creating a vibrant new mural at Cain Park Bicycle, 1904 Lee Rd. Located adjacent to the City’s historic cultural gem, Cain Park, the mural helps mark an eastern gateway into the Cedar Lee Arts District.

Blending hand-drawn elements with digital techniques, Nguyen creates bold, colorful visuals inspired by everyday cultural experiences. Her work can be found throughout Northeast Ohio in public art installations, murals, campaigns, and collaborations with businesses and organizations including and

Despite a few setbacks with his electric lift, artist Dante Rodriguez's mural at the Green Olive Building, 2214 Lee Road, has been flourishing!

His mural reflects Cleveland Heights' respect of green space and community gardening – an ode to Mother Nature. His style is inspired by art nouveau and surrealist techniques. The flowers have significance too: Iris (his mother's name), Dahlia (an homage to his Mexican heritage), and Daffodils (to commemorate Lakeview Cemetery's Daffodil Hill.)

A Cleveland-based artist, muralist, and museum professional, his work bridges fine art and community engagement. He has been with the Cleveland Museum of Art since 2000, beginning his career as a museum guard before advancing through roles as an art handler, mountmaker, and now serving as Outreach Manager for the The Cleveland Museum of Art’s Community Arts Center.

Rodriguez earned his B.A. in Studio Arts with a concentration in drawing from CSU in 2003. For this mural, Rodriguez used a Meta Quest 3S Virtual Reality headset to scale and sketch his design on the 18' x 28' wall in just 2 hours! Obviously, the painting takes much longer!

A look back at the this past weekend! Saturday was an exciting day in the Cedar Lee Arts District with dozens of musical acts performing in businesses all across Lee Rd. Heights Arts was lucky to host Charlie Mosbrook and Tweed for an excellent evening of live music right in the gallery! Thank you to everyone who came out for this special weekend🎶🌟
