Dunham Tavern Museum & Gardens

Dunham Tavern Museum & Gardens An inclusive place that inspires and enriches lives through history, nature, and community.

Once a stagecoach stop on Buffalo-Cleveland-Detroit post road, today Dunham Tavern Museum is the oldest building still standing on its original site in the city of Cleveland. The 1824 home of Rufus and Jane Pratt Dunham in MidTown Cleveland is a designated Cleveland Landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In stark contrast to the cityscape that surrounds it, the museum and its

gardens offer a glimpse of history and insight into the lifestyles of early Ohio settlers and travelers.

This project is still progressing, but we are thrilled to be well on our way to creating this beautiful space! 🦋 🦋 🦋

Hello friends!

Pardon our dust... our Euclid Ave. driveway is currently being reconstructed, so please use out East 66th St entrance (behind the Cleveland Foundation).

Tours today will enter through the rear door of the historic taproom, in the west wing of Dunham Tavern. Please follow the gravel path from our parking lot, through our historic Donald A. Gray garden. The entrance is the second rear red door, on your right.

We will be CLOSED today, Wednesday April 8, due to construction near the Museum's entrance. We anticipate being open this weekend. Thank you for your patience!

We will be CLOSED for Easter on Sunday, April 5th.

When regular hours resume on Wednesday, please plan to use our E. 66th Street driveway to access the property as the Euclid entrance is the site of current construction projects.
