Legendary Surf Spots on the East Coast
Reef Road - Palm Beach, Florida
Located on the south side of the Lake Worth Inlet, Reef Road is a go-to big wave spot when the North swells from the Atlantic Ocean march down the East Coast.
The inside sandbar makes for some fun waves on smaller days but when it’s big (and it does get big), the North swells hit the outer reef creating triple overhead surf that many of the top Floridian surfers show up to get a taste of the legendary wave.
David Reese may be considered the ultimate Reef Road local, as he has hosted many an East Coast legend when they converge on his little slice of heaven on the beach when the surf is pumping.
Bill Holmes, Baron Knowlton, Scott McCranels and Tom Warnke are just a few of the surfers tied to the history of the spot along with Peter Mendia who is a standout on many of the biggest days.
