While Rod used pigment stick in almost all of his pieces in this exhibition, these first two pieces are monotypes - one-of-a-kind prints that cannot be exactly recreated. The third piece is a ghost print, which is created with the remaining paint or ink after the first monotype print is made and it holds a faint, ghost-like resemblance to the monotype. To make them even more special, Rod went in after printing and enhanced each with pastel.
