Looking for a different kind of Saturday morning? Come get a little muddy with us!

Clay Date is a beginner-friendly pottery wheel experience designed for anyone who wants to try something new, get creative, and see what they can make with a little clay. During the 1.5-hour class, you’ll learn the basics of throwing pottery on the wheel, create up to four pieces, and choose your favorite two to be professionally trimmed, glazed, finished, and fired for you to take home.

No pottery experience is needed — just bring your creativity!

Mark your calendar for a full day of art, shopping, and family fun at The Hudgens! 🎨

The Hudgens Holiday Makers Market is coming up Saturday, November 14 from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM, bringing together handmade work from Hudgens Members, Family Day activities, and the opening of our newest exhibition.

The Chili Cook-Off & Bowl Fundraiser will also be happening from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM, with tickets starting at $20 and including chili tasting and one bowl. Proceeds from the fundraiser help support the Hudgens Education Program.

The deadline for The Hudgens Juried Members Show is October 10. If you’ve been planning to enter your work, now is the time to make it official!

Applicants must have a current membership to The Hudgens Center for Art and Learning. Submitted artwork may not exceed 48" in height or length and must weigh 75 lbs. or less.

It’s in the families who spend an afternoon exploring the galleries, the students who discover something new in a class, the artists who share their work, and the neighbors who continue to support creativity right here in Gwinnett County.

There is something about being around art that just makes you feel good. 🎨

It slows you down. It sparks curiosity. It makes you see something familiar in a completely new way. Whether you're standing in front of a painting that stops you in your tracks, getting your hands dirty in a studio class, or simply wandering through the sculpture garden on a quiet afternoon, art has a way of lifting the mood that is hard to explain and impossible to ignore.
