Join us for Locking Jars and Surface Decoration, a two-day workshop on August 1st and 2nd. This hands-on experience explores both wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques as participants learn to construct a functional locking jar while developing rich, layered surfaces.

Andrew will demonstrate how he uses press molds, stamps, and altering techniques to create texture and movement, along with his approach to underglaze and terra sigillata for soft, matte finishes. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to expand your skills while learning how to incorporate moving components into your work.

A free artist talk will be held on July 31 from 6 to 7 p.m. for those interested in learning more about Andrew’s process. Learn more and register at thehudgens.org.

This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy working with children and want to be part of a positive, team-oriented environment. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and attend a required training and orientation in May.
