Tickets at the ticket office or www.train-museum.com The Museum occupies a 35-acre site in Duluth, Georgia, in northeast suburban Atlanta. It was started by the Atlanta Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, currently is operated by a community based board and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for historical and educational purposes. The museum is staffed
almost completely with volunteers. In operation since 1970, SRM features about 90 items of rolling stock including historic Pullman cars and classic steam and diesel locomotives. Admission

Train rides are subject to availability, weather, volunteer staffing, and antique equipment maintenance schedules. There is a group discount of $2 off of regular admission per person for groups of 12 or more. The museum participates (and extends the benefits year-round) in the Blue Stars Museum program offering free admission to military members and their dependents – up to five family members.
