East Brunswick, NJ – The Township of East Brunswick’s Annual Memorial Day Observance will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2026, in Veterans Park at the East Brunswick Municipal Complex at 1 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive. This event, honoring the men and women who lost their lives defending our country, will begin at 10:00 a.m., rain or shine. The program will include the Veterans Ceremony, Flag Raising, Presentation of Wreaths, Dedication of Veterans Tribute Pavers, and a Mini-Patriotic Concert.
Participating veterans’ groups include the Vietnam Veterans of America; Jewish War Veterans Post #311; VFW Post #133; VFW Post #133 Auxiliary; and the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. VFW Post #133 will serve as the host post this year. Mayor Brad J. Cohen will serve as Master of Ceremonies. The guest speaker will be Robert Dugan, Retired Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Marine Corps. Other program participants include members of East Brunswick Troop #223 serving as wreath bearers, the East Brunswick High School Brass Choir performing a melody of songs, and Rabbi Eisenkramer of Temple B'nai Shalom delivering the invocation and benediction. The East Brunswick Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Crew Scouts and Cub Scouts will also be on hand to assist with the Honor Guard and other onsite duties.

We invite the public to attend this annual event and join East Brunswick in honoring the memory of our fallen heroes. We also invite our visitors to view the HOMETOWN HEROES WALL located in the lobby of the East Brunswick Municipal Building. The FIELD OF FLAGS is located adjacent to Veterans Park from Memorial Day through Independence Day.
