In honor of today, we're sharing this etching from Cascadia's Collection. This portrait of an American soldier was created by Northwest artist Thomas Schofield Handforth (1897-1948).

During World War I, Handforth served in France with the anatomical unit in the Army's Sanitary Corps. We invite you to reflect and remember the sacrifice of those who served.

Tori's presentation explored how both viewing and making art supports wellness, the positive impact of art therapy, and led the audience in a hands-on creative exercise!
