One of our favorite parts of this story is hearing Allison talk about the real purpose behind the Children’s Museum of Findlay:

✨ Inspiring curiosity
✨ Building confidence
✨ Sparking creativity
✨ Learning through play

Yes, our museum is filled with exhibits. But what we’re really creating is a place where children can imagine, explore, problem-solve, connect with others, and simply be kids.

After a challenging year, hearing laughter echo through these spaces again has been incredibly rewarding.

And we’re just getting started.

We have exciting plans for new exhibits, expanded learning opportunities, community partnerships, and continued improvements to our new home. Every visit, membership, donation, sponsorship, and volunteer hour helps us continue building what’s next.

A year ago, this wasn't looking possible... 😔

Today, children are laughing, exploring, pretending, building, creating, and making memories in the Children’s Museum of Findlay once again!

Are we finished? Not even close.

We’re still dreaming.
Still building.
Still fundraising.
Still improving.

We have plans for exhibit enhancements, outdoor improvements, a paved parking lot, and so much more. But after a very difficult season, we knew one thing:

We couldn’t wait any longer to hear the sound of children playing together again! 🥹

So we opened our doors.
And every laugh, every smile, every game of pretend, and every family visit reminds us why this work matters.

Thank you to everyone who has helped bring us this far!! Volunteers. Donors. Sponsors. Members. Families. Community partners.

This museum belongs to all of us, and we’re excited about what’s still to come.

Who’s with us as we keep building what’s next? ✨

Tomorrow is the last day to register for Donuts with Dad, which will take place on Saturday, June 20th, from 9:00 to 10:00. This is a free event for members and is included with the day's admission for other visitors. Please be sure to register each attending guest so we have enough sweet treats for everyone! Grandpas, Uncles, and other important grown-ups are welcome too.

A short year ago, we weren’t sure what the future of the Children’s Museum of Findlay would look like.

Today, children are playing here again!

We’re grateful to WTOL 11 for sharing a glimpse into our new home and the journey that brought us here.

As Allison shares, reopening wasn’t just about opening a building. It was about creating a place where children can learn, imagine, explore, and grow for years to come.

And while we’re proud of how far we’ve come, we’re even more excited about where we’re headed.

New ideas.
New partnerships.
New exhibits.
New opportunities to serve families.
More changes coming!

Because reopening wasn’t the finish line...

It was the beginning of our next chapter!

🚗✨ We have a winner! ✨🛣️

After dozens of creative submissions and a week of voting, Little Main Street officially has a name…

🪧 Future of Findlay Dr.

We couldn’t think of a more fitting name for a place where children can imagine, explore, learn, and dream about who they’ll become.

A huge thank you to everyone who submitted ideas, cast votes, and helped bring this special part of the museum to life. Together, the contest raised $70.70 to support museum programming. 💜💚

Now the only question is…
