This class is dedicated to soft, round focaccine cooked directly in a pan until golden and delicious. We will prepare the dough together and fill them with a variety of savory fillings, from vegetables and cheeses to other creative combinations. They are perfect served warm as a snack, appetizer, or casual meal.

Have you ever wanted to learn to play bocce or hone your skills? Here’s your chance. Murer House is offering a Learn to Play Bocce clinic on Saturday, September 12th from 9-12. An experienced instructor will provide game rules, court etiquette, objectives of the game, teamwork and basic strategies. There will also be time to play a game or two. Contact [email protected] to register. Registration deadline is 9/10 at 5:00pm.

Murer House held an Il Sacco format bocce tournament to kick-off the Labor Day weekend. A full complement of 32 players from around the Sacramento area entered the tournament. Player's names were randomly drawn at the start of the tournament to form two brackets of four teams each named after regions in Northern and Southern Italy. Teams played the other three teams in their bracket and the bracket winners met to decide the tournament champion. Congratulations to tournament champion Team Lombardia (Emi F., Steve C., Frank F. and Eddie M.) and runner-up: Team Sicily (Sam F., Dave W., Christy S. and Dave S.).

Thanks to all the participants, spectators and pizza docents for another great bocce tournament!
