“Halcyon Days” acrylic on canvas, 48x24 each panel. Revisiting familiar themes allows me to tap into new creative depths. After spending a memorable summer with family in Malaysia, I returned to my lotus series with revitalized passion. This diptych, Halcyon Days, features two kingfishers, representing peace and renewal. Inspired by the mythological tale of Alcyone and Ceyx, it captures the essence of halcyon days—moments of perfect tranquility where memory and meaning entwine.

Hey there! So, 9 years ago, I made a big move from San Jose to Santa Rosa. I’m so grateful to still stay in touch with the amazing artists at the Alameda Artworks in San Jose. This is going to be my last time participating in Silicon Valley Open Studios!

The Alameda Artworks is hosting a fantastic event this weekend, featuring over 30 talented artists who will be opening their studios to the public. I hope you can make it and come visit us! It’ll be a great time to catch up and support local artists.

May 17-18, Open 11 am to 5 pm. Free parking. Dog friendly.
