Woo-hoo! We got an article in the Main Street Daily News! :)

Side note: I wish I had worn my blazer for the main photo. My shirt tucking left a lot to be desired by that time of the day.

Yay! We had a great turn out for the partial solar eclipse on Saturday, October 14, 2023. 😁 Thank you to the Alachua Astronomy Club (AAC) for joining us with solar filtered telescopes and thank you to the Asterion Foundation for providing "Sun Spotter" projection devices and a grant that allowed us to purchase thousands of solar eclipse viewers. In the weeks leading up to the eclipse, we distributed over 3000 eclipse viewers to people in our community. Finally, thank you to our outstanding team members (Bo, Aaron, Brian, John, Isabella and Professor Greg Mead) for working tirelessly throughout the day to help everything run smoothly. Keep looking up! 😁
