As Chairman of SGP 1975-1976 I produced all the shows in the next to the last paragraph of this article, except George Benson in 1977. During that period this was my favorite venue to present shows and I did a lot of them. More than on this list. PJ Fancher's web site https://www.gainesvilleshows.com/ will eventually have all the posters and information from these shows, and all the others, on his page. I am working with him to get every single show listed with all the data about the shows. This venue, the Union North Lawn, took the place of the University Auditorium for me to do free shows since the Auditorium was just to small to accommodate the student demand. The shows we produced out there regularly had for 4,000 to 6,000 students attend. PJ's page is going to be the electronic equivalent of a Gainesville Music History Museum online!

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of The Heartbreakers later this year, we are opening the archives to release some treasures from the white hot ‘70s era of the band, starting with this extended version of “American Girl”.

This new HiRes/spatial mix was created from the original multi-track tapes by long-time engineer Ryan Ulyate, and includes an extended, never-before-heard outro that was recently uncovered in the archives.
