Thank You for an Amazing Night!

What a fantastic evening we had at our reception and Holiday Membership Party! We are still buzzing from the energy and good vibes!

A massive thank you to the incredible artist, Teresa Abel, for sharing her stunning work with us—it truly lit up the space!

We were captivated by the moving poetry reading from Emy Hamilton and had a wonderful time listening to the delightful music provided by Jimmy Helms. Thank you for making the night so special!

And finally, thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us! Your presence made the party a huge success and so much fun! We loved seeing so many familiar and new faces.

We are so excited for our final event of the year! Brenau Galleries has been working incredibly hard, and we can’t wait for the opening of Teresa Abel's Exposure on Thursday, December 4th, at our beautiful, newly renovated Renaissance Gallery on the Square! Come out from 4–6 PM for the opening reception of this gorgeous show AND the spectacular Brenau Galleries Holiday Party! We will have live music, delicious hors d’oeuvres, wine, hot cocoa, and art prints for sale! This event is free and open to the public, and we STRONGLY encourage you to wear your most festive holiday attire!

sa Abel’s Exposure series is an exploration of light—reflected, atmospheric, and kinetic—and its profound relationship with darkness and movement. The collection depicts a variety of light sources, both natural and manmade, and a range of scenes including over-exposed streetscapes and landscapes viewed through rain-streaked glass.  Many of the scenes serve as an extended metaphor for “exposure,” which, in photography, refers to both the act of letting light reach the sensor and the result—the final image itself.
