In his Saturday acrylic painting workshops throughout the year, Steve Duprey will lead his students, step-by-step over the course of three hours, through the process of creating a variety of landscape and still life paintings. Each student will receive close personal attention as they create the painting. Particular attention will be shown to creating the sense of light in each painting.

On the Fifth Sunday of May, from 12:30 to 3:00 PM, the Dove Block Project will host an Open Mic featuring literary and musical performances. All are welcome — as performers or listeners.
Performers are invited to share brief selections of their work with a friendly, supportive audience. Come perform, listen, and enjoy an afternoon of community creativity. Admission is free.
A sign-up sheet for five-minute time slots will be available from 12:30 to 1:00 PM, with performances beginning at 1:00 PM. Slots are first-come, first served.
For the May 31 event, we are pleased to welcome guest readers Jessica Dubey and Dr Carol Mikoda, who will share both published and new poetry.
