🌅 Send summer off right this weekend at Art Omi!

We're open all weekend, with our final Long Light: Live Music concert of the season, right in the Sculpture & Architecture Park this Saturday, September 5!

Doors open at 5 PM with music kicking off at 5:30, and you'll want to stick around until 8 for the full golden-hour experience with 95 Bulls (), Dauber (), and These People ()— three very different sounds for one electrifying night.

Grab a bite provided by Chatham Provisions () paired with beer, wine or a mocktail from the Art Omi Cafe, and find your spot around the patio as the evening kicks off!

The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, but just to note– the show will go on rain or shine (we'll move things to the Studio Barn if the weather doesn't cooperate).

Michael Meredith and Hilary Sample: ᗩ ᗪOᗰE ᗯITᕼ ᖴOᑌᖇ OᑕᑌᒪI delivers the architecture studio MOS () to Art Omi at the Fall Architecture Opening, September 19, 2–5 PM.

ᗩ ᗪOᗰE ᗯITᕼ ᖴOᑌᖇ OᑕᑌᒪI can be defined as an aluminum-shingled dome, bolted and stitched together—part shrunken Pantheon, part misplaced silo top. The newly commissioned work presents a temporary place to sit, gather, dangle your legs, stop for a moment in the shade, take a photo, focus on your environment, relax, and listen to the soundscape of the Hudson Valley.

Celebrate the opening of TAELON 7 (): 𝑳𝒊𝒎𝒃𝒐 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒘𝒂, and Michael Meredith and Hilary Sample: ᗩ ᗪOᗰE ᗯITᕼ ᖴOᑌᖇ OᑕᑌᒪI, in the Sculpture & Architecture Park on Saturday, September 19 from 2–5 PM. ᯓ ⛰︎ From Accra to Ghent…

Arriving from Ghana, TAELON 7: 𝑳𝒊𝒎𝒃𝒐 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒘𝒂 will debut at the Art Omi Fall Architecture Opening, September 19, 2–5 PM, marking the Hudson Valley premiere of a cross-continental collaboration between Art Omi and Accra's Limbo Museum.

Designed by architect Juergen Benson-Strohmayer, the project was first installed over the spring in Accra, Ghana, where its modular segments were woven into Limbo Museum's unfinished concrete exterior. The installation has been reconfigured for Art Omi to be a freestanding landscape pavilion, reimagined in response to the natural landscape of the Hudson Valley. What was once a threshold between an unfinished building and its surroundings has been tuned to a new site, climate, and season as a way of presenting what holds constant, and what changes, when an architectural idea crosses continents.

╰┈➤ The 2027 Art Omi: Artists Open Call deadline is just two weeks away! Applications are due by 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟰, 𝟭𝟭:𝟱𝟵 𝗣𝗠 𝗘𝗦𝗧.

Art Omi: Artists invites artists, critics, and curators from around the world - representing a wide diversity of styles and practices - to experiment, collaborate, and share ideas in rural New York. Concentrated time for creative work is balanced with the stimulation of cultural exchange and critical appraisal. Art Omi: Artists Residency nurtures deep creative and professional connections in a vibrant social setting.
This program was designed for artists who have been professionally active for at least the past five years in disciplines such as visual arts, sound art, performance, and social practice. Formal art education is not a requirement: we accept applications from those who are self-taught.

The application deadline for the 2027 Open Call categories, Art Omi: Architecture, Dance, and Music, is Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Each Saturday brings a brand-new project providing kids the opportunity to explore the park, get inspired by the art around them, and create something new alongside our Art Omi: Education teaching artists. No two weekends are the same!

Nayland Blake's first outdoor installation is now on view in the Sculpture & Architecture Park. "𝘏𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘵": 𝘉𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘝𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺𝘢 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘦 is a new commission that reimagines the 18th-century "ornamental hermit" through Blake's alter ego, Victorya Spectre. Part sibyl, part cryptid, part garden gnome ancestor, Victorya dispenses fragments of insight from their studio/nest — part classroom, part lounge, part farm stand, part abandoned amusement ride.

Start your journey at the Newmark Gallery, located inside the Benenson Visitors Center, and look for the park sign to start you on your way through the gallery, then on your path of bells through the Sculpture & Architecture Park, leading to the folly in the woods…

𝙏𝘼𝙀𝙇𝙊𝙉7: 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙗𝙤 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙬𝙖
Limbo Engawa marks the Hudson Valley debut of a cross-continental commission between Art Omi and Accra's 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗼 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺. Designed by architect 𝗝𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻-𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗵𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 of 𝗧𝗔𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗡𝟳, the project was first presented at Limbo Museum in Accra, Ghana, this past March, where it was installed on the museum's unfinished concrete structure. For its Art Omi presentation, the installation has been reconfigured as a freestanding landscape pavilion, reimagined in response to the meadowlands, wetlands, and woods of the Hudson Valley.
