Children's Discovery Museum of Grand Rapids Minnesota The perfect place to come in and explore! We offer a large play area including a kid-sized town which feature our **Brand New** Superior Choice Credit Union!

In addition to our large play area we have a Art Room full of art supplies to inspire artists young and old. With a small extra admission fee you also get to tour Judy Garlands birth home! Check out our Wizard of Oz Festival schedule on the Judy Garland Museums website. Lots of family fun planned.

We are officially launching our Mini Golf Course Campaign!!

Today, we’re selling $20 raffle tickets at Northland Ag & Turf in Grand Rapids for a chance to win an Arctic Cat Prowler!!!!! Tickets also being sold at the museum throughout the summer, drawing happening on Saturday, August 28th at 1pm. Stop by today from noon- 3pm today!!!

Our playroom carpet finally got a deep cleaning after MANY mystery spots and quite a few very obvious coffee stains… and the before & after photos are honestly so satisfying. 😅☕

This is also a friendly reminder that our museum play spaces are *water only.*

We know coffee and snacks help fuel busy grownups and kiddos, which is why we have designated eating and drinking areas throughout the museum.
Helping us keep food and beverages out of the exhibits protects our flooring, keeps the museum cleaner and healthier for everyone, and helps our space stay fresh and welcoming for little ones. 🌈❤️

Another great day at the Minnesota State Capital for “Day of Play” thanking and advocating to legislators for important funds that help all of the wonderful children’s museums in Minnesota keep our doors open to serve kids and caregivers statewide with hands-on exhibits, field trips, and learning through open exploration with their families and friends!

Do you know there are now 13 children’s museum in our state?

And Children's Discovery Museum of Grand Rapids Minnesota was one of the first in our state and country in a rural community of our size!? We have been around since 1997 and have served at least 80,000 students and teachers with valuable out of classroom experiences!!!!

I had to steal this post from a friend because getting to see the excitement to just PLAY is the best part of our jobs here.

And play isn’t just fun! It’s how we learn best! 💡

Through play, children build creativity, problem-solving skills, confidence, and social connections.

But it’s not just for kids…..when adults join in, learning becomes even more meaningful (and joyful!).

At the museum, we believe every giggle, every question, and every hands-on moment helps grow curious minds of all ages. So come PLAY, explore, and learn together!
